Terms of service

Terms of service

The terms under which Catalyst Glass and Aluminum offers this website, the quote request form, and the client portal. Updated 17/05/2026. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. Who these terms are with

This website is operated by Catalyst Glass and Aluminum Ltd., a B.C.-registered corporation at 25771 102 Ave, Maple Ridge, BC. In these terms, "Catalyst," "we," and "us" mean Catalyst Glass and Aluminum Ltd. "You" means you, the person using the site.

2. What the site is for

The site exists to:

  • Describe our services, products, and approach
  • Let you request a quote by uploading drawings, photos, or other project information
  • Let active clients track their projects, view quotes, and message our team through the portal
  • Provide tools (Step Code calculator) to help architects, GCs, and homeowners plan their projects

The site is informational. Information here doesn't create a contract, and is not professional engineering, architectural, or legal advice.

3. Quotes are estimates, not contracts

Anything labelled "estimate," "preliminary estimate," "quote," or similar on this site or in our flow is an estimate based on the information available. The actual contract between Catalyst and you (the project owner or GC) is a separate written document that we both sign. Until that document is signed:

  • Catalyst is not committed to perform any work
  • You are not committed to pay any amount
  • Prices, lead times, and product matches can change as we learn more about the project (site survey findings, drawing revisions, supplier lead-time updates)

Quotes are valid for 30 days from issue unless we say otherwise in writing.

4. AI-assisted quote preparation

When you submit a quote request, we use AI as an internal tool to help our team read your drawings and energy reports faster. The AI's output is reviewed by a human before it reaches you — you never see raw AI numbers. Every quote you receive from us has been confirmed by our team. The number you get in your inbox is the real number.

5. What you can upload

When you upload files (drawings, photos, energy reports), you confirm that:

  • You have the right to share those files with us
  • The files don't contain viruses, malware, or content that violates third-party rights
  • You're okay with us sharing those files with manufacturers and suppliers when it's necessary to fulfill your quote (per our Privacy Policy)

We may refuse or remove uploads that violate these terms or that we judge inappropriate.

6. Client portal access

If you have a Catalyst client portal account, you agree to:

  • Keep your password confidential and not share access with anyone outside your firm or household
  • Notify us if you suspect your account has been compromised
  • Use the portal only for project-related communication with our team

We may suspend or terminate portal access for misuse, non-payment, or at the end of a project's warranty period.

7. Intellectual property

The Catalyst name, logo, brand assets, website design, photography, copy, and software are owned by Catalyst Glass and Aluminum Ltd. Don't copy, redistribute, or republish them without our written permission.

Files you upload to us (your drawings, photos, energy reports) remain yours. We use them only to fulfill your quote and project as described in our Privacy Policy.

Manufacturer system names, logos, and product information shown on this site (Cortizo, Reynaers, AIR-LUX, ALUPROF, Ventanas) are the property of those respective manufacturers and are used here for reference. We have clearance to reference these products in customer-facing materials; clearance for other products is requested on a per-project basis.

8. No warranty on website content

We work to keep website content accurate — Step Code targets, product specs, lead times — but specifications and regulations change. Verify critical information (energy targets, regulatory compliance, code requirements) with the official source (energystepcode.ca, your local AHJ, your energy advisor) before making project decisions based on it.

9. Warranties on actual work

Warranties on Catalyst-supplied product and installation work are governed by the written contract for each project, not by this website. Manufacturer warranties on European systems pass through to you per the manufacturer's terms (typically 10 years on seals/frames/closures for cleared systems).

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by B.C. law, Catalyst is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of this website, the quote request form, or the portal. Our maximum liability for direct damages tied to website or portal use is the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 CAD, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under B.C. law (gross negligence, willful misconduct, statutory consumer rights).

11. Third-party links

This site links to third-party resources (manufacturer sites, energystepcode.ca, government pages). We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or privacy practices. Use them at your own risk.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the site will be heard by the courts of British Columbia. Before going to court, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us at office@catalystglassandaluminum.com.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the business evolves. Material changes will be flagged at the top of this page. The "Updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Template notice: This terms-of-service document is a template generated for review. Have a B.C. lawyer review it against your actual contracts and risk profile before publishing. Liability caps, IP terms, dispute resolution, and product-specific warranty language often need customization.
